  • The most important ielts writing tip for academic  is the order of writing. It should be like- Introduction overview, paragraph A and paragraph B.
  • INTRODUCTION: For this part, the first ielts writing tips for academic is that we have to write the information given in our OWN words.

  • Make your answer in such a way that examiner can find it easily.
  • Apart from your answer, thesis statement is also a place to introduce your own ideas.

 Example: In my opinion, I agree that exercise is the key to health. However, I also believe the Yoga is important.

HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR WRITING IN IELTS WRITING TASK 1 ?

The most important tip for ielts academic writing task 1 is that you have to organize the information into a logical order and put it in different paragraphs as given below:

PARA 1- Introduction: It contains the description of graph. But don’t copy the description given in the question paper as it is. You need to paraphrase it.

PARA 2-OVERVIEW: Its not so long but it involves all the key features of the graph or chart given in the question for academic writing task 1.

PARA 3- BODY PARAGRAPH (A) – This is where you put all the detailed information (dates, numbers, all the comparisons)

PARA 4- BODY PARAGRAPH (B) – All the leftover information but in a logical order.

EXPRESSING YOUR OPINION IN  IELTS ACADEMIC WRITING TASK 2

  • DO I NEED TO GIVE MY OPINION?

Ans: IELTS will give you very clear instructions about what you need to do for the essay. Just read the instruction.

  • CAN I USE ’I’ OR ‘MY’?

Ans: Well, if the instructions tell you to give your opinion then of course there is only one way that you can by using ‘I’ and ‘MY’ and you must use these words.

NOTE: Important tip for ielts academic writing task 2 is that don’t give your opinion or use ‘I’ or ‘MY’ if it’s not instructed to do so.
